About Us

Weber Gallery, a program of the Council on Developmental Disabilities (DD), began with a premise that collaborative, mutual promotion through community partnerships could benefit established artists, artists with DD, the general public-and that premise is proving out.  We have partnered with over 25 organizations, and our work includes partnerships with devalued and underserved populations.  Seven astoundingly successful exhibitions since 2009 have brought these groups recognition on a level playing field with some of the the are’s finest professional artists.

Our location on Fourth Street, adjacent to homelessness, vacant parking lots, and rampant addiction issues represents an attempt to say to Louisville-all of Louisville-”we are invested in you.”  Weber Gallery represents how individuals in different circumstances can, rather than lean on each other, raise each other up.  We seek out and welcome our diverse groups.

Weber Gallery brings all artists together in a truly integrated venue, regardless of ability or disability, situation or challenge making it a totally different kind of gallery in the metro area. Our goals are dissolution of barriers through visual art, resulting in social change and acceptance of every artist and every person.
